MR. JT

So, if you are ever having a bad day, just listen to Justin Timberlake's new album. You cannot help but bust out some super awesome dance moves. If I get brave enough, I'll have to post my awesome moves :) Suit and Tie has been my go to for the last week. First song I listen to when I get in the car, when I start cooking, get to the gym, or pretty much do anything. It is fantastic.

Cold Tangerines

I recently purchased Shauna Niequist's book Cold Tangerines and love every page of it.  The very first chapter titled Waiting, grabbed my attention so quickly.  I was so convicted after reading that first paragraph, because I realized that I am a person that is always looking to the next big thing in life to define me.  I liked Shauna's approach because it showed me that while I'm waiting for the next "thing" in my life to happen (for me its a baby), I am missing out on all the wonderful things in my life that make it my life and special.

Going to watch my little brother-in-law's baseball game.

And laughing at my goofy dog watching The Following.

All of those moments were so enjoyable and did not deserve to be taken for granted!

Thank you Shauna Niequist! You can click on the link above to purchase :)

Oh, and the paint recipe I used for the driveway was super easy and cheap, and a blast!

Here's what all of our colors looked like before we started:

I worked on this with my sister-in-law. I am the one on the right, and I promise I'm not saluting, just taking the picture! Have fun!

The Beauty in a Day

There is so much beauty in each and every day, you just have to look for it.  You can jump to the usual sappy beauty like the sun rising and casting a glorious glow on the city, the little bird that fluttered by your window as you drank your morning coffee, or the bountiful peppers growing in your garden.  If that doesn't work, you can always start documenting what you see as boring and mundane and realizing, its not that at all.

For starters, this morning, I woke up way too early and shuffled my way to the gym.  I'm sure you've heard the joke that men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed and women somehow deteriorate during the night? Yeah, that's so true for me.  I look like I got ran over by a truck when I get up in the morning, so I will take any help I can get to look a little less deteriorated.

Having cute clothes at the gym is about the only thing I've got going for me.  I LOVE these shoes, I feel super cool in them for some reason, plus the gray makes it easy to match.

NIKE Air Max Correlate Women's Running Shoes, Pure Platinum/Flask Pink/Flat Grey

I will have to admit that I am a Nike freak, so its pretty much the only thing I buy for the gym.  I also wear these every day that I can, I memorized the gym associates schedules so I don't embarrass myself by wearing the pants if they've already seen them. Shallow? Well, duh.

NIKE REGULAR DRI-FIT COTTON CAPRI (WOMENS)

What I like so much is the waist is thicker, so it covers that horrible pooch.  Even though you're at the gym working on the pouch, people still judge. Just sayin'. I bought them in the black and the grey and could not be happier, seriously.

And now for the tops. It all depends on the mood I'm in. If I am having a whoa, I feel like a whale day, I go for the long top.  If I'm feeling good, I'll go for the slightly more fitted tee. Today, I was feeling pretty good, so here's the top I wore.

To wrap this up, I found beauty in the pretty work out clothes I wore this morning. Like I said, you just have to look for it! There is nothing more beautiful than great fitting and comfy clothes!
